A brief background on Coastes

Situated along Sentosa’s Siloso Beach, Coastes provides food and beverage alongside a breezy beach bar. It has a rustic charm and casual laid-back beach vibe where the sunbeds and deck chairs flow right to the water’s edge.

Previously, Savant Degrees rebranded the five restaurants at Siloso Beach into a unified beach destination under the name of C SIDE. After unifying it as one brand, the next step for C SIDE was to introduce initiatives that would make it a more convenient beach destination. We focused on the customer experience in each restaurant and recommended digital innovations to enhance the overall dining experience.

No more queuing

Through numerous ethnography sessions and interviews with Coastes customers, we discovered that one of the main inconveniences for customers was the need to queue and order at the counter. Hence, we created a digital menu application for customers to order from their mobile phones. This enabled customers to rest comfortably and order from their seats, enhancing the overall customer experience.

Becoming PayPal’s first partner in Asia Pacific

Savant Degrees collaborated with PayPal and became their first mobile payment gateway partner in Asia Pacific. In addition, we received support from SPRING, who scheduled a media event in August 2014 to publicize the effort to increase productivity in the F&B industry.
